RUMANA HUQ (Writer/Director/Producer)
“The Call Center” is Rumana Huq’s first film.  After earning her screenwriting certificate from The New School University, she worked in development for Andrew Lauren Productions writing screenplay coverage.  Since then, she has written several feature screenplays ranging from comedy to action films.  She was inspired to write "The Call Center" after watching "Bombay Calling", a real documentary about call centers in India.  She is a mechanical engineer by training and works in biomedical imaging research in New York City.


CYBEL MARTIN (Director of Photography)
Singled out for her expressive and stylized work, Cybel Martin is the first and only African American woman to receive an MFA in Cinematography from NYU.  Her Cinematography credits include "Orange Bow" (Tribeca Film Festival), "Sangam" (Sundance), "Flora's Garment Bursting into Bloom" (winner: Showtime No Limits Award), "The Gilded Six Bits (winner: Hollywood Black Film Festival, Smithsonian) and additional photography for "On the Outs" (winner: Slamdance, IFP Spirit).  Recent and upcoming feature films include "A Ticket for Hope", the Bollywood adventure "Arranged Love" and Tracey Moore's "The Departure".  Cybel has also contributed to numerous documentaries, most notably "Inside the New Black Panthers" for the National Geographic, "11 Days" produced by Mark Burnett ("Survivor", "The Apprentice") and the Tribeca Film Festival winner, "Dressed Like Kings".

 

DEBARGO SANYAL (Raj)
Feature film credits include "Everybody's Fine", "7 to the Palace", "Ashes", "Karma Calling", "Sita Sings the Blues", "West 32nd", "Made for Each Other", "Sad Sack Sally", "Drawing with Chalk", "Quarter Life Crisis", "Red Hook", and "My Sassy Girl". Short film credits include "Modern Day Arranged Marriage", "Dry Clean Only", "Theen", "Roulette Night", "L'emon", and "I Don't Sleep, I Dream". TV credits include guest appearances on "Law & Order", "The Sopranos", "Law & Order: Criminal Intent", "The Unusuals", "On The Lot", and national commercials. Debargo was born and raised in Rochester, NY.



DEEPTI GUPTA (Tina)
Born & brought up in India, Deepti earned her MFA (Acting) from UT Austin. She also has an MA in Theatre Studies from Singapore & BA in English Literature from Delhi University. SANJIV JHAVERI (Bobby Dean)  
TV & Film credits: SHOWTIME pilot "Possible Side Effects", "Law & Order", "Criminal Intent", "Special Victims Unit", "Conviction", "Rescue Me", "Strangers With Candy", Urbania, "Loins of Punjab Presents", the upcoming "Ashes", recently wrapped NY South Asian-actor multi-star-er "It's All Been Arranged", and listen for his voice in the animated "Sita Sings the Blues".  He is also a theatre actor with many New York and regional credits.



ROHAN SUKHDEO (Composer)
Rohan has spent the last several years honing his skills as an artist, writer and producer in the New York City area. A self-taught musician, Rohan's obsession with music started from an early age. He spent his teenage years developing his craft and playing in bands throughout the area at such legendary spots as CBGBs, The Bitter End, and the Palladium. In the late 1990s, he became immersed in writing and producing and created his own original spin on Asian Underground music which he has licensed to various international record companies and even produced original music for several featured television programs on Bravo, MTV, PBS and ImaginAsian Television. Most recently, he has produced music for several full length and short films including "Sita Sings the Blues", "1001 Auditions", "Modern Day Arranged Marriage", and "Arranged Love". 


IRIN EVERS (Assistant Producer)
Irin Evers' scripts have won or placed in 33 major screenplay contests for 58 awards, including the Nicholl Fellowships, the Sundance Lab and the Austin Film Festival. His films have won 5 awards and screened numerous festivals. All of this information can be found on his website:
